Heritage Manor - Beardstown East was purchased in May of 1996. In March of 2000, a wing of the facility was remodeled to become Heritage Enterprises' first Legacy Care unit - a residential unit devoted specifically to individuals with Alzheimer's and dementia. Beardstown East features the only Alzheimer's and dementia unit in the Cass, Brown, and Schuyler County Area.

"Our highly trained staff care about the residents and it shows in their day-to-day interactions with them. We work very hard to meet the needs of the people we serve. Besides providing specialized care for seniors with Alzheimer's and dementia, Heritage Manor - Beardstown East also features a Medicare Certified Program, intermediate and short-term care, respite care, hospice care through Cass-Schuyler County Hospice, and physical, occupational, and speech therapies through Select Therapy.

Heritage Manor - Beardstown East actively supports the American Heart Association, the Alzheimer's Association, Toys for Tots, and the Food Bank. Residents and staff also assist with a local daycare program.
