Heritage Manor - Litchfield has been serving this community since 1962. In 1990, our facility underwent renovations, adding a new Therapy Room and dining room. In 2004, we received our Medicare Certification. Our facility features a beautiful garden, gazebo, and enclosed courtyard where friends, families, and residents can enjoy the outdoors in comfort and stay active.

"Many families have said they've had to make appointments to see their loved ones because the residents are so busy," says Administrator Lori Wheeler. "Our residents are frequently out and about in the community, and they are highly involved in activities, including: participating in the Meals on Wheels program, serving meals to low income families, sponsoring a food pantry, adopting needy families at Christmas, and raising over $1000 for the Relay for Life."

In addition to the variety of activities provided to our residents, our staff also has an excellent reputation for working with families to ensure great care for their loved ones. Questions and complaints are responded to quickly, and the Resident Advocate keeps in touch with the families on a monthly basis. Further, because of the high level of care and involvement with both the resident and their family, our staff has received numerous awards from the Long Term Care Nurse Association, including: a Nurse of the Year award, two Certified Nursing Assistants of the Year awards, and a Director of Nursing of the Year award. We have also received the Community Partnership Award.

Heritage Manor - Litchfield is a member of the Illinois Health Care Association, the American Health Care Association, and the Litchfield Chamber of Commerce. We are affiliated with the Dietary Managers Association, Illinois Nursing Home Administrators Association, and Illinois Activity Professionals Association.
