Originally known as Illini House and Rutledge Manor, Heritage Health - Springfield has had a presence in the Springfield community for nearly 35 years. In 1983, Heritage Enterprises took over the facilities and, over the past 8 years, has been developing a subacute unit - ContinuCare - in a joint venture with Memorial Medical Center.

We strive to meet the needs of our residents in a loving, caring fashion. We strongly believe in open communication with our residents and their families.

Providing quality care is of the highest value to our loving staff. We have an excellent on-site therapy department, providing physical, occupational, and speech therapies to our residents. Our staff is also offered advanced educational opportunities to keep them well-informed. We maintain an open door policy with our residents and their families, addressing any problems head-on in order to continue offering quality care.

As a Medicare Certified Program, our facility offers our residents a number of services, including: hospice care, respite care (based on bed availability), and Skilled Nursing provided on 3 of the 4 units. Our residents also enjoy three healthy meals each day, personal laundry service at no extra charge, and a Resident Council. A Family Council is also available at our facility.
