Benjamin Hart is the President and Chief Executive Officer for Heritage Enterprises Inc. and Green Tree Pharmacy Inc. He also serves on the board of directors for both organizations. Ben has worked in the health care industry since 1996, all of which have been with Heritage. Before assuming his current role, Ben served as executive vice president of administration for Heritage. He was responsible for new development of numerous assisted and supportive living facilities, major renovations and capital reinvestments, acquisitions, facilities management, capital purchasing, environmental services, information technology and marketing.
Ben is a licensed nursing home administrator and was responsible for the overall operations of Heritage Health in Bloomington for several years. Ben graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor’s of Science in Accountancy. After completing undergraduate studies, he went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Illinois State University.
Ben serves as President of Board for the Affordable Assisted Living Coalition. He also serves on the boards of the Health Care Council of Illinois, Advocate BroMenn Philanthropy Council, Bloomington-Normal Economic Development Council, Illinois State University Foundation Board, and the Illinois State University College of Business Advisory Council.
Cheryl Lowney is Executive Vice President, Chief Operations Officer, and Director for Heritage Enterprises, Inc. She has 40 years of experience in the health care field and began her career with Heritage in 1969. Cheryl has held various positions throughout the years, including staff nurse, director of nursing, administrator, and Executive Vice President of Nursing before becoming Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer. She is a licensed nursing home administrator and registered nurse. Her nursing degree is from Galesburg Cottage Hospital School of Nursing. She also earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of St. Francis and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Illinois.
Cheryl is the immediate past president of the Illinois Health Care Association (IHCA), as well as a member of various IHCA committees. She serves on the Illinois Health and Social Services Subcouncil, the Provena Senior Services Board of Directors and Quality Assurance Committee, and on two committees for the American Health Care Association: the Facilities Standards Committee & By-Laws Committee and the Regional Multi-facility Committee. Locally, Cheryl sits on the McLean County Health Task Force.
Connie Hoselton, Executive Vice President, Human Resources
Connie Hoseltonis the Executive Vice President of Human Resources for Heritage Enterprises, Inc. She has worked in the health care industry since 1988, all of which have been with Heritage. Connie is responsible for the human resource and payroll functions, managing the areas of personnel, training, education, compensation and benefits programs, recruiting and workers compensation. She also oversees the marketing function of Heritage.
Connie is certified as a licensed nursing home administrator and a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).
Connie is a member of the Illinois Nursing Home Administrators Association. She also is a member of the Central Illinois Employers Association and the Society for Human Resource Management, locally the Bloomington Normal Human Resource Council. Connie is also an active board member of the Baby fold in Normal, in addition to serving on the executive committee of the Baby Fold board. She is a former board member of the Employers Health Care Coalition (ECHI) of McLean County, former board member of the Center for Human Services, and a former member of the Illinois State University College of Business Advisory Board. She currently serves on the Illinois State University Distinguished MBA award panel.
Connie earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Illinois University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Illinois State University.
David Underwood, ExecutiveVice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer
David Underwood, CPA, is the Executive Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer for Heritage Enterprises, Inc. He is responsible for corporate-wide finance, accounting, budgeting, reimbursement and reporting. In addition, David is heavily involved in merger and acquisition analysis, project financing and banking relations.
David has extensive experience in healthcare finance and administration, serving most recently as Administrator of Illinois Gastroenterology Institute in Peoria, IL. He also spent more than 16 years as the Chief Financial Officer for Proctor Health Care Inc. in Peoria.
He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from DePauw University, and has been a CPA since 1980.
